very interesting bottom pic, showing the nylon cogs.
i think i've ballsed up, when i changed the nylon cogs i didn't notice any marks on the cogs to line up, i just took of the old and put on the new. have i f**ked up.? is it important or can i get away with it.? if i leave it what will happen.? thanks brett Last edited by brettly : 01-06-2008 at 10:46 AM. |

They need to line up or it will vibrate badly and knock out your main bearings.
For the price if a gasket i would go and change it. Yours Paul Vetere |

Hi Paul, Did you end up fitting the K&N on your new bike? I fitted mine, Obviously at the same time my motorcycle mechanic fitted the full Arrow exhaust, rejetted the carb, advanced the dizzy etc. He spent ages tuning it, changing jets and needles. We ended up with a 165 main jet and will have to get back to you on needle settings. Above 6000rpm awesome. When starting from cold it's a bit of a pig until you get to 3 bars of heat. Even then below 6000rpm it's a bit jerky. Any ideas to smooth it out below 6000rpm or is it sacrifice bottom end rideability for top end power. It's a pretty big filter, was just wondering on what your take is? Kindest Regards, Denis.
